BMI Tracker
Log your BMI over time and watch the trend - privately. Every entry is
saved only in your own browser, with no sign-up and nothing sent to a
server. BMI is a screening measure, not a diagnosis, so use your trend as
a starting point for conversations with a qualified healthcare provider.
Private by design: your entries are stored locally on
this device using your browser's local storage. They are not uploaded,
not synced across devices, and will be erased if you clear your browser
data. Use Export CSV to keep your own copy.
Why track BMI over time?
A single BMI reading is a snapshot; a trend is more informative. Watching
the direction over weeks or months can be a useful talking point with a
healthcare provider. Keep in mind that BMI does not measure body fat
directly and does not account for muscle mass - read more in our
guide to BMI limitations and
BMI vs body fat percentage. To
calculate a one-off result, use the BMI calculator; to see
the ranges, view the BMI chart.
BMI tracker FAQ
Where is my BMI history stored?
Only in your own browser, using local storage on your device. Nothing is sent to a server and we never see your entries. Because of that, your history will not sync to other devices, and clearing your browser data will erase it - use Export CSV to keep your own copy.
Do I need an account?
No. The tracker works with no sign-up and no email. You add entries and they stay on your device until you delete them.
How often should I log my BMI?
There is no fixed rule. Weekly or monthly is enough for most people to see a trend, and the direction over time is more useful than any single reading. Try not to read too much into normal day-to-day fluctuations.
What does my BMI trend mean?
A trend can show whether your BMI is rising, falling, or steady, which may be a useful talking point with a healthcare provider. BMI is a screening measure, not a diagnosis, and it does not measure body fat directly. See our guide to the limitations of BMI for context.
